The Performing Arts Tours Boost is $1m project funded by the State Government’s Royalties for Regions program.  The Boost program provides  funding for regional touring by WA small to medium groups (s2m) and the development and delivery of skills training packages for community presenters.

The objectives of Performing Arts Tours Boost are:

  • To increase the number and diversity of shows touring regional Western Australian over the next three years by small to medium (s2m) professional performing arts organisations and groups including theatre, dance, music and circus performances; and
  • To increase the capacity of regional communities to present professional performing arts shows in their town and choose shows that best suit their needs

To achieve these objectives building stronger partnerships between the small to medium (s2m) professional performing arts organisations and regional presenters in Western Australia will be essential.

Applicants to the Boost regional touring fund will need to demonstrate that support of regional presenters has been obtained and a community engagement strategy agreed.

Applications for round two of Boost regional touring close on Friday, 5 December 2014 for activities starting after 1 July 2015.
