Poetry Action Plan

Showcasing the pre-eminent art collection in Western Australia

Poetry Action Plan

The principles underlying this plan acknowledge:

  1. The different needs of emerging, mid-career and established poets
  2. The central role of organisations such as the State Library of WA, writingWA, WA Poets Inc and the writers’ centres
  3. That poets are able to apply for project funding through the Department of Culture and the Arts’ grants’ programs
  4. That there are other ways for poets to get help and advice to promote their work
  5. The Department will continue to communicate with poets during the life of the plan.
