iArts - Digital Initiative

Showcasing the pre-eminent art collection in Western Australia

iArts - Digital Initiative

Western Australian artists, arts organisations, designers and musicians are invited to collaborate with digital media producers to create web-based, audience-interactive digital projects under the new iArts initiative. iArts is a joint project between the Department of Culture and the Arts, ScreenWest and ABC TV and will see successful arts projects uploaded to ABC Online and delivered to audiences through a number of ABC portals.

Western Australian digital producers in partnership with WA arts organisations or artists are invited to apply to this program which will fund a minimum of two works which will be published on the ABC’s online site, podcast, vodcast, or transmitted on mobile or ABC TV platforms.

The Department of Culture and the Arts and ScreenWest are able to provide assistance to applicants who are interested in finding potential partners for a project. Applicants are urged to contact DCA prior to submitting their application for advice and feedback on draft applications.

Applications for iArts close on July 21, 2008 with successful projects to be announced in late August 2008.
