Independent Theatre Initiative
The Independent Theatre Initiative, as part of the Arts Capital Fund, will provide $400,000 to the independent, community-run theatre sector. The initiative will support installation or upgrades of equipment and fixtures in existent venues to improve long-term production values and community engagement. It will also support activity such as technical and marketing skills training, and attendance at conferences and events.
Independent theatre groups and organisations in metropolitan and regional Western Australia, who are members of the Independent Theatre Association, are encouraged to apply.
Funding applications will close on August 1, 2008 for activity commencing from December 1, 2008.
