Scope

The Policy Framework will define the key goals and objectives of the Department of Culture and the Arts (DCA). This will enable alignment of existing programs and activities, and provide a context for the development of new programs and initiatives. In so doing the framework will provide a policy and reporting link between the day-to-day work of the Department’s Strategic Plan and the State Government’s Strategic Planning Framework.

The Policy Framework will assist in the planning and implementation of the Department’s program areas by outlining the key priorities and strategies for these program areas and demonstrating how they will be measured against the Policy Framework. The scope and position of the policy framework is illustrated in the table below.
