10 years of Miles To Go

     Day view

David Hyams and the Miles To Go band celebrate “10 years of Miles To Go” on Friday, November the 6th at Kulcha in Fremantle, where they played their first show in 1999. The band’s celtic infused mix has broadened over the years with new songs adding country-blues tinges, while continuing to explore places and stories of our vast landscape - from the stunning night sky of the Kimberley, to winding southern coastal tracks…

The band has had a stellar year in 2009, with The Australian newspaper describing them as one of the “standout acts” of the massive Woodford Folk Festival in Queensland. They also received their 5th consecutive nomination for “Best World Music Act” at the WA Music Industry’s “WAMi” awards.

The band line up has now settled at 7 members and tours regularly across the country for major festivals. They will feature special guests Nola Formentin on trombone and English piper, Tom Walwyn.
Special Guest act “Rhys Wood”.
