The Underpass Motel

     Day view

A small festival of manipulative, empty promises.

Under the directorship of Stuart Elliott The Underpass Motel is a collaborative video project based on a fictional motel. Each of the participating artists Graham Taylor, Patrizia Tonello, Amanda Williams, Peter Dailey, Ben Jones, Richard Heath and Si Hummerston. made a short film using drawing, live action, stop animation, CGI or combinations of all of these. These individual and diverse videos were then woven into one to make what Stuart calls a "a series of musings or a dysfunctional daydream". The film accompanied by "forensic" works such as paintings, drawings and objects will be presented by the Turner Galleries from the 9th October.
