Culture and the Arts Minister Sheila McHale today announced the appointment of Allanah Lucas as the new Director General of the Department of Culture and the Arts (DCA).

Ms Lucas has worked in the arts and cultural sectors for over 25 years as an administrator, producer, practitioner, researcher, consultant and tutor.

She has held a number of senior positions within the arts and culture portfolio including Director of ArtsWA, Acting Director of the WA Museum and Executive Director of Development and Strategy at DCA
