Government support for home-grown music still going strong

Western Australian contemporary music received another boost from the State Government today with a significant increase in successful regional applications.

 Culture and the Arts Minister John Day said the rise in the number of applications from the regions and the focus on mentoring and skills development was a promising step forward for WA music.

The funding allocated in this round is for projects commencing after December 1, 2008.
