CCAFF Annual Round Application Process

CCAFF applications are to be submitted on the last working day in September to local government.  Contact your local government to be advised of the actual September closing date, as some local governments may bring forward their closing dates to meet Council meeting schedules.

Overview of the CCAFF Annual Round Application Process  

January - June

  • Where relevant, applicants gain planning approval from local government planning committees for the proposed CCAFF project.

July  

  • Advertising of CCAFF through media such as The West Australian and other networks
  • CCAFF Application forms available from DCA and local government. They may also be available through the Regional Development Commission network, Lotterywest, other State Government agencies and arts and cultural networks.
  • 'Making a CCAFF Application' information sessions conducted in regional and metropolitan locations.

September  

  • Closing date for applications.

October

  • All Applications are commented on and prioritised by local government.  Recommendations prepared and submitted to next available Ordinary Council meeting for comment/ratification.
  • All applications, along with the original local government comment form and Ordinary Council minutes, are forwarded to the DCA CCAFF Officer, by the last day in October.  Any CCAFF applications ratified at an Ordinary Council meeting after this date cannot be accepted into the September round.

November/December  

  • The CCAFF Officer coordinates the applications, prepares documentation and sources additional project information for the CCAFF committee as required.

February  

  • CCAFF committee assesses application and makes recommendations to the Minister for Culture and Arts.

March  

  • Minister considers recommendations and grants approvals
  • Successful and unsuccessful applicants are notified
