Dramaturge Skills Development Program
This Program is open to WA dramaturges to undertake a residency or residencies that deliver professional dramaturgical skills development outcomes.
Development activities are determined by the applicant and can include, but are not limited to, mentorships with a nationally or internationally renowned dramaturge or opportunities to ‘sitin’ during rehearsals with a professional theatre company.
The panel is limited to awarding one Dramaturge Skills Development Program grant per year.

Assessment Criteria
The Panel assesses applications against the assessment criteria of the Arts Grants Program. In addition, applications must also:- Demonstrate the capacity to develop the applicant’s skill as a professional dramaturge..
Eligibility
In addition to the general eligibility requirements of the Arts Grants Program, applicants should:- Have a professional track record as a dramaturge, having undertaken at least one professional production, and
- Have the capacity to contribute to the wider theatre sector.

Applications which have been unsuccessful may be resubmitted to future Dramaturge Skills Development Program funding rounds once only.
The Dramaturge Skills Development Program is supported by the Australia Council for the Arts, the Australian Government’s arts funding and advisory body.
