Michelle Anderson
Michelle is a Theatre and puppetry performer, devisor and collaborator. She studied Contemporary performance at the School of Contemporary Arts, Edith Cowan University. Michelle is a former member of PACT Youth Theatre in Sydney. Major credits include; ‘Velveteen rabbit’, AWESOME’s ‘Creative Challenge’, ‘Hope is the saddest’, ‘Lipstick and Hessian’ at The Blue Room, and ‘The Mary Surefoot Shoe Collection’ for Spare Parts Puppet Theatre. Michelle successfully completed a Spark mentorship funded by the Australia Council. Michelle created the theatre design for Weeping Spoon Productions ‘Love Pirate’ Artrage. She participated in the ‘Feet first emerging artist program’ for Legs on the Wall Physical Theatre Company in Sydney. At the 2007 Equity Guild Awards Michelle was nominated for Best Newcomer for performance in ‘Hope is the Saddest’. She regularly teaches classes at Stagecoach Academy for the Arts.
