Jessie Lloyd

Jessie is an Abmusic graduate, with skills in writing and composing.  Jessie has recorded songs and music as part of the Djiva group with Della Morrison.  Djiva has toured to major festivals interstate including the Dreaming Festival at Woodford in 2006.  Jessie and Della also run Southwest Aboriginal Entertainment (SWAE), presenting music programs for Festivals such as the Wadanji Festival and the Keela Dreaming Festival.  Jessie oversees the group’s production, events coordination and tour management.   SWAE won a NAIDOC award for business in 2007.   Djiva are guest artists at the ‘Blak Arm Band’ with the Festival of Perth, 2008, whilst SWAE is managing the Festival's official Noongar Welcome.  Jessie and Della present an Indigenous contemporary music program, called the Chocolate Martini, at the Bakery in Northbridge.
