Sharyn Egan

Sharyn is Noongar and Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (fine Arts) from Curtin University.  She has been a practicing artist for over ten years and has participated in several large group exhibitions and received a number of awards and prizes.  She has worked closely with the community on large scale projects including the Noongar Boodja Project, PIAF 2006-7.  As well as teaching art at TAFE, she has coordinated visual arts programs as part of the Festival of Fremantle and worked across art forms including giant puppetry, basket making, and textiles.  She is a member of the ‘Stolen Generation’ and was brought up at New Norcia Mission.
