Walter Gordon Eatts

Mr Walter Eatts is a Noongar Elder residing in Perth.  He is the Chairperson and foundation member of Aboriginal Urban Services (Inc.).  With his wife Doolan Leisha Eatts, he teaches Noongar culture and history to Indigenous and Non-Indigenous people and delivers cross-cultural workshops.  He and Leisha perform many Noongar Welcomes in the Perth area.  He has recorded an oral history and written his mother’s biography and also assists other people to record their family’s history.  In 2001 he was awarded the Aboriginal Male Senior of the Year by the NAIDOC Committee for his work with the community.
