Dragana Spasich

Since graduating from the Western Australian School of Art, Design and Media, Dragana Spasich has immersed herself in many projects connecting the link between art, fashion and community needs. Coming from a diverse cultural background, Dragana has a genuine interest in the cultural, ethnic and indigenous creative industries combined with traditional and contemporary elements.  Many of the projects she has been involved in are part of the annual Artrage Festival, including ‘Ether’ in 2001, L’Excentricite a fashion event in 2002, ‘Love and Horror’ in 2004 and ‘Sex Exhibition’ in 2005.  Dragana is also pro-active in creating opportunities and events for emerging fashion designers to showcase their talents in innovative concepts and environments.  In 2006 her unique approach to fusing fashion & photography has experienced a series of successes. From being hand-picked for the Style Aid's "Heaven", exhibiting in "Nemesis" through winning The Packers prize at The Iris Photography Awards 2006.  Most recently she has collaborated on a courageous new label "U.F.O. SOda Gypsy".
