Showcasing the pre-eminent art collection in Western Australia

Misty Pearson

Misty Pearson is a fashion designer who has been surrounded by fabric and design from a young age and considers herself to have been pre-programmed for work in the fashion industry. Her first client, Beach Barbie spent more time as the house model than with poor, ignored boyfriend Beach Ken. Misty’s clientele steadily expanded to her Grandmothers dressmaker mannequin, young cousins and of course the stray cat. By the age of ten Misty was designing her own outfits that her grandmother would produce. Since this time Misty’s passion for designing clothes has never declined and in 2001 she gained her three year Diploma in Fashion from WAIFT and was soon to become part of the eight young designers who were given a golden opportunity to start their promising careers in fashion design with the opening of their own fashion emporium Merge at The Colonnade, Subiaco.  Elsie-Jean (her label) and Merge are both soon to celebrate five years in the industry.
