Carol Hanlon

Carol Hanlon has over 37 years 'hands on' experience in the Australian Fashion Industry, including 20 years of operating her own national fashion design and manufacturing business in Victoria.  Carol established the Textile Clothing Footwear Resource Centre of WA (TCF WA) in 1998, a non profit community based small business support facility for fashion, textile and footwear designers in Western Australia.  Since 1998 TCF WA has provided information, support services and promotional opportunities for emerging and established designers to access national and international trade exhibitions. The organisation also provides training in business skills development, marketing, exporting etc.  TCF WA also established the first community based retail fashion incubator in WA, designedge fashion incubator located at Belmont Forum is the largest fashion collective of WA designers with over showcasing 70 WA designers.  Carol is also a qualified business counsellor and business facilitator and was also the Founding Manager of the non profit community based Belmont Business Enterprise Centre Inc. (BEC) in 1994 also known today as the Small Business Centre Belmont (SBC) and was announced the National BEC Manager of Australia in 2004.
