Pamela Gaunt

Pamela Gaunt is a practising artist and lecturer and Unit Coordinator of the Fashion and Textile Design course in the Department of Art, Faculty of Built Environment, Art and Design, Curtin University of Technology.  She is currently completing a Masters by Research Degree at the School of Art History/Theory, College of Fine Art, and University of New South Wales.  Gaunt’s exhibition record is extensive, comprising eight solo exhibitions and numerous international group exhibitions.  In the past eight years her work has focused on different approaches to the incorporation of the decoration in relation to architectural space.  In 1997 she published her first monograph with the assistance of an Australia Council grant and the second monograph is currently in progress.  She has received several significant grants, including an Australia Council Studio Residency in Milan in 1997 and an ArtsWA Fellowship in 2001.
