Lucy Dougan
Lucy is a published writer and poet, whose professional practice began in the mid 1990s. Her book of poems, Memory Shell, was published in 1998 and her work has been included in a number of journals and anthologies. She was the recipient of an Australia Council Developing Writers Grant in 2003 and has been presented with various awards for her poems. Currently she is the poetry editor of Heat and is a research assistant at the Australian Research Institute at Curtin University. In addition to her writing practice, Lucy has worked as a Literature Officer at Newcastle Community Arts Centre, has held university lecturing positions and coordinated the Hunter Writer’s Centre from 1996 – 1998.
