    Construct a construct a multi-functional, multi- purpose centre for community arts.

    2006
    Gingin Gravity Discovery Centre Foundation Inc  received $50,000 for existing facilities to be expanded. An upgrade will create a new generic and more technically advanced gallery.

    City of Gosnells $8,000.00

    City of Gosnells  - received $8,000.00 for the development of a feasibility study

    Shire of Nannup $34,423.00

    Shire of Nannup- received $34,423.00 for the restoration of the original seating of the Nannup Town Hall, along with the construction of verandas and a new portico to preserve and enhance the visual and aesthetic appeal of the Town Hall.

    Carnarvon Heritage Group $70,000.00

    Carnarvon Heritage Group – received $70,000.00 to design and construct a purpose built interpretive centre in the Carnarvon Heritage precinct.

    Shire of Busselton $11,500.00

    Shire of Busselton – received $11,500.00 to develop a feasibility study into a new performing arts centre.

    Shire of Coolgardie $50,000.00

    Shire of Coolgardie- received $50,000.00 to construct a permanent stage, backstage facilities, lighting grids, inbuilt audio equipment and curtains within the arts and cultural space of the new $10.7 million Kambalda Community and Recreation Facilities project.

    Bunbury Regional Art Gallery $12,936

    Bunbury Regional Art Gallery - $12,936 for improvements and expansion to the existing Bunbury Regional Art Gallery. This includes an upgrade of the lighting and security in the City Gallery to create a system that is more cost efficient and which enables a more professional presentation of works.

    Shire of Busselton $34,000

    Shire of Busselton - $34,000 for the establishment of an active arts and cultural centre within the Courthouse Arts Complex for the regional community and visitors to the Busselton area.  The upgrade of the studios and courtyard areas will contribute to the sustainability of the complex.

    Shire of Esperance - $94,100

    Shire of Esperance - $94,100 for the construction of a building attached to the Esperance Museum to be used as a maritime display for a full size Pilot Boat and other maritime artefacts. The display will identify the significance of Esperance as a port, and will develop the museum to increase tourist patronage.

    City of Albany - $21,600

    City of Albany - $21,600 for improvements to facilities within the Vancouver Arts Centre.  The development of the Centre’s two main buildings will allow increased programming for community access, safe storage of the Albany Art Collection, and generate increased usage for the Centre by providing accessible wet areas and more flexible space to present exhibitions with local, state and national content.

    Katherine Susannah Pritchard Writers Centre - $42,783

    Katherine Susannah Pritchard Writers Centre - $42,783 to expand accommodation at the Writers Centre for additional Writers-in-Residence via the construction of three self-contained retreats.  The construction will enable the Writers Centre to achieve its strategy of attracting self funded stays by local, national and international writers

    Entertainment Centre - $12,000

    Entertainment Centre - $12,000 to undertake a feasibility study into expanding the theatre to provide more flexible, affordable and intimate performing spaces to meet a variety of theatre applications.

    City of Canning - $28,666

    City of Canning - $28,666 for improvements and expansion of the Canning Arts Centre to enable greater participation in arts activities.

    Broome Historical Society - $50,000

    Broome Historical Society - $50,000 for the relocation and restoration of a 1960s building to the current Broome Museum site.  This will improve care for the collection, develop research areas and open up more interactive educational experiences for visitors.

    Shire of Carnamah - $50,000

    Shire of Carnamah - $50,000 for the refurbishment of the Carnamah Shire Hall and Uniting Church Hall to provide an outlet for cultural activities and create a venue capable of housing all artistic pursuits including performance, visual and manual arts.

    Shire of Broome - $4,834

    Shire of Broome - $4,834 for installment of a fixed environmental control and storage system to house an art collection.  This collection documents this history and artists of the region.

    Shire of York - $6,068

    Shire of York - $6,068 to install a track lighting system to wire and rewire the Residency Museum building.  The funds will provide improvements for the interpretation of the Wheatbelt's cultural history and conservation of the collection.
