This category supports:

• Young artists and arts workers to respond to out-of-round career-building opportunities, where the time frame is out of their control
• Organisation to capitalise on momentum of a recent activity to deliver small-scale projects through which young people can develop their skills and increase participation in the arts by working alongside professional artists.

Activities may include:

• Young artists and arts workers responding to an invitation to participate in a high profile festival or undertake a residency
• Young artists staging a performance or exhibition where an opportunity has arisen at short notice
• Local Government, arts organisations or other community groups responding to a request from young people to run a series of workshops with an established artist that will grow their creative skills and understanding of the arts.

Where possible you must aim to apply through regular funding rounds. The panel will not support activity that could have been submitted to a regular funding round.
