1. Develop Your Idea
Applying for a grant is a competitive process and your application will be assessed by a panel with relevant expertise. To ensure the best chance of success, make sure your project idea is clear and has significant, achievable outcomes.
2. Find the Right Program
Use the Grant Finder on the Grants Hub or view the funding program list to find the right program for you.
3. Check Eligibility
Check the General Eligibility Requirements and any which may be specific to your funding category and program.
4. Get the Application Package
Download the relevant Application Package directly.
5. Contact Your Project Officer
Get in contact with the Project Officer relevant to your art form.
6. Prepare a Draft
The next step is to prepare your draft application. Project Officers can provide feedback for you so make sure you allow plenty of time to make changes or follow up on recommendations.
7. Assemble Your Support Materials
Support materials should be provided to the assessment panel with your application. They must be relevant and concise. Check the General Support Material Requirements and any which may be specific to your funding category and program.
8. Submit
You can submit your application in two ways:
- by hand to DCA by 5pm on the closing date, or
- by post. Postal applications must be post marked on or before the closing date.
Emailed or faxed applications are not accepted. Late applications will not be accepted and will be returned.
