Subiaco Arts Centre

Showcasing the pre-eminent art collection in Western Australia

Subiaco Arts Centre

The Subiaco Arts Centre is owned by the City of Subiaco. The Perth Theatre Trust has leased the Centre since 1984 when the building, originally built as the Subiaco City Hall, was converted to a performing arts centre.

The Subiaco Arts Centre reopened on 1 July 2006, after a year of extensive renovations. The $4.7million refurbishment of the Centre by the State Government and City of Subiaco established the facility as a key part of the metropolitan arts scene and Subiaco community. The renovations included upgraded rehearsal, studio and theatre spaces and improved patron amenities and disability access. The venue now meets universal access requirements with the installation of a universal access lift and other universal access facilities. The BOCS Ticketing counter includes a universal access desk.

The Centre houses a 305 seat main auditorium and a studio which seats 119 people, and is the home to resident company Barking Gecko.

The day to day operations of Subiaco Theatre Centre are managed by the external service provider, AEG Ogden (Perth).
