Young People and the Arts
The Young People and the Arts Policy was launched in 1997, with the underlying principle that all young people in Western Australia have access to the arts regardless of their economic, social, cultural or geographic circumstances. The Young People and the Arts Program providing support for artistic projects for, with and by young people is the key mechanism for the delivery of this principle. The Department of Culture and the Arts is currently evaluating this policy and consultation in 2008 will take place to develop new priorities and directions. The Department of Culture and the Arts and the Department of Education and Training have developed Creative Connections : An Arts in Education Partnership Framework.
