Information for job seekers

All positions are advertised on Jobs W.A. Positions may also be advertised on job websites and/or in major newspapers.

Our recruitment and selection processes are open and competitive. The processes are also free of bias, discrimination, nepotism and/or patronage. Job applicants are treated fairly and consistently and all selection processes are a formal assessment of merit, equity and probity in accordance to the Western Australian Public Sector Management Act 1994, the Equal Opportunity Act 1994 and the Western Australian Public Sector Management regulations 2005.

Once you have identified a position for which you wish to apply, you should download each form relevant to the position advertised. Before preparing your application, carefully read the information about the position as well as information about the Directorate or Portfolio Organisation with which you are applying.  This will assist you in preparing a competitive application that will hopefully secure you an initial interview.

We also accept expressions of interest for employment when no specific vacancies are advertised. In these instances, please fill out our General Application for Employment Form, attach your curriculum vitae with an accompanying letter and send to:

The Director, Human Resources
Department of Culture and the Arts
PO Box 8349
PERTH BUSINESS CENTRE  WA  6849

Please note that if there is a short-term position available that may match your knowledge, skills and abilities, we will contact you to arrange an initial interview. Longer term positions will always be advertised and obtained on merit.
