The four-year Regional Arts and Cultural Action Plan (RACAP) was officially released during the 2014 Regional Arts Australia Arts & Edges Summit. The Plan is grounded in the knowledge that access to arts and culture increases the amenity of regional towns and improves the quality of life for regional communities. It is the result of extensive consultation across Western Australia’s nine regions and provides a framework to guide government and community investment in the provision of regional arts and culture.

An internal working group has been established to review State-wide and region specific strategies for the remaining two years of the plan. This will enable a process of alignment with other planning strategies such as the Regional Investment Blueprints and the Regional Centres Development Plans.
